The Cook role is onsite in Lake Bluff, IL. Compensation is $18–$22 per hour. The cook supports dining at Modena Green Oaks, preparing meals intended to provide residents with nutrition, comfort, and enjoyment. The cook prepares and presents meals according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements, maintains food quality and kitchen sanitation, and works with the dietary team to accommodate residents’ needs. The role also supports menu planning, inventory, and a welcoming dining experience.

What you'll do

• Prepare, cook, and present meals following standardized recipes and dietary requirements
• maintain meal quality, taste, and presentation
• keep the kitchen clean and sanitary
• assist with menu planning and meal preparation for daily meals and special events
• follow portion control and assist with food inventory
• accommodate residents’ dietary needs with the dietary team
• engage with residents about dining preferences
• inspect food storage, labeling, and rotation
• support kitchen team members as needed.
