Draw Bench Operator

Job overview

Compensation is $20–$22 per year. The Draw Bench Operator role is onsite in El Cajon, CA; Veridiam manufactures components for aerospace, industrial, medical, and nuclear markets. The operator prepares and draws metal rods and tubes to specified shapes and diameters, helping produce workpieces that meet customer specifications. The role also supports related material handling, finishing, and production activities while monitoring equipment and work quality.

What you'll do

• Prepare metal rods and tubes for cleaning, pointing, swaging, and drawing
• position dies and material in the draw bench
• operate controls
• coat material with lubricant and mix lubrication chemicals when needed
• cut material with a chop or abrasive saw when needed
• move parts between operations
• verify workpiece conformance
• monitor equipment for defects or malfunction
• measure dimensions when needed
• and maintain an orderly work area.

Why this role

First shift is 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Prior manufacturing or manual machine operation experience is preferred. Facility access is subject to ITAR/EAR restrictions.
