The Preschool Assistant Teacher role is onsite at Seagull Schools’ Aina Haina and Downtown locations in Honolulu, HI. Compensation is $20.29–$21.20 per hour. The role supports lead teachers and young children in an early childhood education setting. The assistant teacher helps plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities, supports children’s daily routines and developmental needs, and maintains a safe, respectful classroom. The role contributes to children’s learning and well-being while supporting classroom standards and communication with families.

What you'll do

• Maintain adherence to NAEYC accreditation standards and Hawaii child-care licensing rules
• work with individuals or small groups as directed
• help develop and implement educational activities, lessons, and materials
• support assessment and documentation of student progress and behavior
• assist with meals, naps, and daily routines
• monitor behavior and enforce school policies
• communicate with students, teachers, and parents
• maintain classroom organization and cleanliness, including cleaning, sanitizing, toileting, and diapering
• maintain confidentiality and follow school policies.
