Electrical Engineer (PE) — Water and Wastewater

Job overview

The Electrical Engineer (PE) role is based in Tempe, AZ, and may be remote. Compensation is $150,000–$180,000 per year. Wilson Engineers provides water and wastewater engineering and construction management solutions for communities. The engineer designs and supports electrical power distribution and control systems for water and wastewater projects. The role contributes technical design, calculations, drawing packages, field review, and commissioning support to the firm’s engineering projects.

What you'll do

• Design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems and prepare related diagrams, schedules, plans, schematics, and installation details
• complete electrical engineering calculations
• use Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• apply NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 101, and NFPA 820 knowledge
• work independently and with engineering teams
• review construction shop drawings and RFIs
• support field inspection, startup, and commissioning
• lead, review, and interpret power system and arc flash studies
• model power distribution systems with SKM when applicable.
