What you'll do

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive-blasting equipment
• prepare metal surfaces for coating or painting
• remove rust, paint, scale, dirt, and other contaminants
• inspect surfaces for quality
• set up and maintain equipment and tools
• follow safety procedures and use required PPE
• keep the work area clean
• inspect equipment and report maintenance issues
• assist with other yard and shop duties as needed
• work Saturdays as needed.
