Substitute Food Coordinator — Head Start and Early Head Start

The coordinator plans, purchases, and prepares meals that meet Head Start and CACFP dietary requirements for children from birth to age five, while completing required documentation. The position provides food-service coverage as needed to support children’s nutritional well-being.

What you'll do

• Plan, purchase, and prepare meals according to Head Start and CACFP dietary requirements for children ages birth to five, and complete required documentation. Primary computer and math skills are required. A high school diploma or GED is required
• the Substitute Food Coordinator course is completed after hire. Knowledge of nutrition is required, while group-cooking experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license and liability insurance are required, as are current CPR and First Aid certifications, which the agency provides. The role is on-call as needed and not eligible for benefits.
