Teacher Assistant

The Teacher Assistant role is onsite in Jacksonville, FL, with pay of $20.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., for 40 hours per week. The position supports Teacher Advisors and students through classroom assistance and individualized academic support. The assistant reinforces learning through lesson support and tutoring, helps administer and grade examinations, and maintains classroom records and related data. The role also supports classroom coverage, testing, parent conferences as needed, field trips, and after-hours center activities for girls and families.

What you'll do

• Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments
• provide tutoring
• administer and grade examinations and file paperwork
• follow lesson plans and supervise class when the Teacher Advisor is absent
• assist with state-required testing
• participate in parent conferences as needed
• enter data and maintain attendance records
• assist with scheduled field trips and after-hours center activities.
