Community Engagement & Operations Coordinator

Job overview

The Community Engagement & Operations Coordinator role is onsite in Madison, WI, full-time at 40 hours per week, with a starting wage of $25 per hour paid biweekly. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed. The role supports Porchlight’s volunteer program, donations, community partnerships, communications, and internal technology and telecommunications needs. The coordinator connects volunteers, donors, community organizations, and service providers with Porchlight programs, especially onsite services and resources for guests at the Men’s Shelter. Accurate records, timely communications, and operational support help the organization coordinate resources and maintain effective community relationships.

What you'll do

• Coordinate volunteer inquiries, orientation, placement, schedules, records, and recognition
• coordinate in-kind donations and maintain donation records
• develop community partnerships and schedule onsite services at the Men’s Shelter
• update website content
• prepare newsletters and assist with mailed appeals
• provide limited event support
• serve as the first contact for routine technology and telephone needs.

Why this role

Requires at least two years of relevant experience. A valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle with current insurance are required for travel between Porchlight locations and transporting donations and supplies. Occasional evening or weekend work may be needed.
