CNC Lathe Operator

The operator sets up and runs CNC turning and milling centers to produce parts safely and efficiently while meeting production standards and customer quality requirements. The work includes complex setups, in-process inspection, machine adjustments, and operator-level maintenance.

What you'll do

• Operate CNC lathes and mills
• complete complex setups using setup sheets and work routings
• inspect production parts with measuring equipment
• adjust offsets and lengths to maintain tolerances
• edit programs under supervisor direction
• perform first production runs
• maintain an orderly work area and perform operator-level preventive maintenance. May operate more than one machine based on cell design.
