The laboratory provides anatomic and clinical pathology services to hospitals, surgery centers, and clinical laboratories in Baton Rouge and Southeast Louisiana. The assistant performs gross dissection and specimen processing across a broad range of cases, collaborating with pathologists and technical staff. The role supports accurate laboratory workflow and pathology services across two active sites.

What you'll do

• Perform gross dissection and detailed description of surgical specimens, from routine biopsies to complex cancer resections
• process and submit specimens for histologic processing and special studies
• rotate between the privately owned laboratory and a hospital lab
• collaborate with pathologists and technical staff to maintain quality and workflow efficiency
• contribute to workflow coordination and other assigned duties.
