Direct Support Professional (DSP) — Adult Day Program

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) works onsite in La Grange, IL, in Helping Hand Center’s Day Program. Pay is $21.50–$22.50 per hour for a 40-hour Monday–Friday schedule. Helping Hand supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DSP provides hands-on support, training, and encouragement in daily living, community integration, recreation, and work skills. The role promotes independence and inclusion while helping maintain a safe and engaging environment.

What you'll do

• Support individuals with daily activities, personal care, and skill-building
• lead and implement lessons and activities
• promote community involvement and independence
• document progress and communicate needs
• work with the interdisciplinary team
• serve as a role model, mentor, and advocate
• complete agency training requirements.

Why this role
