What you'll do
- Inspect rail cars and components to applicable railroad association, Federal Railroad Administration, and company standards
- perform scheduled, requested, and preventive maintenance and repairs
- repair and install rail car parts
- use hand and power tools, welding equipment, cutting torches, and measuring instruments
- operate shop and transport equipment
- prepare inspection and maintenance reports.
