Production Chemist I

The Production Chemist I role is onsite in Hercules, CA. Compensation is $36.50 per hour. The position is part of Bio-Rad’s Global Supply Chain Manufacturing team, producing life science products that support research and healthcare breakthroughs. The chemist performs bench chemistry, prepares bulk solutions and buffers, and conducts in-process and final quality-control testing. The role supports reliable product manufacturing by following controlled procedures, documenting batches, maintaining equipment, and complying with safety and environmental requirements.

What you'll do

• Formulate bulk solutions, buffers, and solutions for Bio-education and Bio-Plex products
• follow controlled standard operating and production procedures
• document production in batch records under GDP/GMP guidelines
• manage and dispose of materials in compliance with safety, environmental, and OSHA requirements
• maintain laboratory areas and inventory in SAP
• set up, calibrate, troubleshoot, and support repair of laboratory equipment.
