The Fabrication Training Program — SkillBridge is an onsite, up-to-180-day training opportunity in Alpharetta, Georgia. Compensation is paid by the Department of Defense, not DFC; participants remain on active duty and continue receiving Department of Defense pay and benefits. The program is offered by DFC Manufacturing Group to help transitioning service members bridge military experience into civilian skilled trades. Participants develop fabrication and assembly skills through structured, supervised work in a production environment. The program progresses from shop safety and fundamentals to component assembly, quality checks, and supervised projects, building a foundation for skilled trades careers.

What you'll do

• Train in reading assembly drawings and production layouts
• assist with assembly of dies, strippers, blankers, and related components
• cut, fit, and install materials and hardware
• use hand tools and fabrication equipment safely
• perform measuring and layout tasks
• support fabrication, visual inspections, quality checks, troubleshooting, and production workflows.
