HVAC Service Technician

Job overview

The HVAC Service Technician role is onsite in Apex, NC, with hands-on service work at customer job sites. Compensation is $24–$30 per hour. The position supports residential and light commercial HVAC service. The technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC systems to help ensure safe and efficient operation. What you'll do

• Service, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems
• diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using system knowledge, manuals, and schematics
• follow safety protocols
• communicate with dispatch, team members, and customers
• maintain a clean, organized truck and work environment
• complete service documentation
• assist with training or mentoring junior technicians as needed
• identify customer opportunities for repairs, upgrades, or system improvements, with performance-based incentives and spiffs possible when recommendations result in additional work.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, a two-year technical degree or equivalent hands-on field experience, HVAC tools and service-method knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 100 lbs. EPA Universal Certification is preferred.
