The controller leads accounting and financial reporting for real estate investment joint ventures, operating assets, and development projects. By overseeing reporting, controls, compliance, and an accounting team, the role supports accurate financial information and effective investment and development operations.

What you'll do

• Lead accounting and financial reporting for assigned real estate joint ventures and projects
• guide accounting for complex transactions and interpret legal agreements
• oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, audits, and tax compliance
• coordinate development funding requests
• establish internal controls and close procedures
• partner with acquisitions, asset management, construction, and development
• oversee asset integration and disposition accounting
• ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
• improve workflows and controls
• lead and develop accounting staff
• serve as a contact for auditors, investors, and external partners.
