Job overview

The Water Resources Engineering Manager is an onsite role based in Jersey City, NJ, with a salary range of $120,000 to $160,000 per year. This position supports the Northeast Region Water Engineering Practice at Schnabel Engineering, a firm dedicated to solving complex earth and environmental challenges. This role exists to provide technical leadership and project management for critical water infrastructure projects, including dams, reservoirs, and flood mitigation systems. The manager will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and drive business development efforts to ensure the continued growth and technical excellence of the practice.

  • Develop and supervise hydrologic and hydraulic models
  • conduct risk and flood hazard analyses
  • lead project management activities including budgets and resource planning
  • mentor junior staff
  • contribute to business development and client relationship management.
