What you'll do

• Observe equipment in operation and diagnose problems
• dismantle devices and inspect parts for defects or dimensional changes
• adjust, repair, or replace parts and control instruments
• install functional and structural parts
• lubricate and clean components
• test equipment performance
• operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to make or repair parts
• initiate purchase orders for parts and machines
• repair electrical equipment and troubleshoot electrical systems, drives, and CNC equipment.
