School Bus Monitor

What you'll do

• Monitor passengers
• assist students entering and exiting the bus
• perform bus safety checks and check for sleeping children
• remain alert to passenger welfare while in route
• assist the driver with safe backing when necessary
• conduct emergency evacuations
• communicate behavior issues and bus-stop conditions to the driver
• liaise with parents as needed
• help maintain bus cleanliness
• and occasionally attend field trips and special events to support passenger safety.
