Infrastructure Reliability Engineer

Job overview

The Infrastructure Reliability Engineer role is hybrid, with onsite work every other week for five days in Durham, NC. Pay is $60–$65 per hour on a W-2 basis. The engineer joins the client’s Compute management team. The engineer maintains stable and secure infrastructure by managing operating systems and virtualization platforms, advancing automation and observability, and coordinating incident and change work. The role contributes to operational metrics and collaborates with engineering, operations, and vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions.

What you'll do

• Manage Windows, Linux, and virtualization operating systems
• oversee hypervisors and hardware infrastructure
• drive automation and observability initiatives
• support DevOps and EngOps practices
• execute patching and security compliance
• maintain environment stability and critical server operations
• participate in incident management and change execution
• contribute to operational KPIs
• collaborate with global teams and vendors
• communicate with engineering and operations leaders.
