Technical Surveillance Countermeasure Technician

Job overview

The Technical Surveillance Countermeasure Technician role is onsite at the Pentagon and other Department of Defense facilities throughout the National Capital Region. Compensation is not specified. The role supports government installations and national security missions. The technician inspects facilities and communications environments for unauthorized surveillance and RF activity, analyzes signals, documents findings, and recommends mitigations. The work supports technical security and threat assessment in coordination with operational, intelligence, security, and technical personnel.

What you'll do

• Inspect sensitive facilities for surveillance threats
• monitor and analyze RF activity
• operate technical surveillance detection equipment
• investigate signal anomalies and maintain a signals database
• support instrumented and physical searches and mobile-device detection sweeps
• recommend threat mitigations
• document findings and prepare PFPA-SSD reports within five days
• brief stakeholders
• coordinate with operational and technical personnel
• follow DoD, IA-30, and PFPA policies.
