The Lead Estimator, Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. The salary range is $85,000–$95,000 per year. The estimator works across Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Sales to prepare quotations that reflect customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities. The role leads estimating workflow and helps produce accurate, competitive project quotes that support profitable business growth. It reviews estimates and assumptions, guides and trains estimators, coordinates supplier and internal inputs, and improves estimating practices and quote-to-production handoffs.

What you'll do

• Coordinate quote assignments, deadlines, and coverage
• train and mentor estimators and provide technical guidance
• estimate materials, labor, tooling, equipment, outside processing, inspection, packaging, and freight
• review drawings and specifications and validate manufacturing methods, capacity, and delivery assumptions
• review quotes for scope, accuracy, pricing, and margins
• coordinate supplier pricing and availability
• maintain estimating tools, ERP records, and quote revisions
• compare estimated and actual costs
• support cross-functional clarifications and handoffs.
