The Drywall Taper / Taper Trainee role is onsite in Leander, TX, working on new-construction homes throughout the Austin-area market. Pay is $16 per hour during approximately three weeks of training, then $18 per hour while employed through AtWork; after conversion, pay follows the client's production-based contractor structure. The role supports residential construction crews. The position tapes, muds, sands, and finishes drywall joints while learning the trade and helping crews complete homes to schedule and quality expectations. Previous taping experience is welcome but not required, and paid training is provided.

What you'll do

• Tape drywall in new-construction homes
• learn and perform the taping phases of installing tape, mudding joints, and sanding and finishing lines
• maintain a clean and organized work area
• work with the crew to complete homes according to schedule and quality expectations
• follow job-site safety rules.
