Field Investigator

Job overview

The Field Investigator role is onsite in Charleston, SC, with daily travel within the investigator’s area and travel throughout the home state and surrounding states. Pay is $20–$25 per hour, commensurate with experience. Advantage Investigations conducts insurance defense investigations to help clients assess claims and potential insurance fraud. The investigator conducts covert surveillance and basic claims investigations, records and reports observed activity, and uploads video evidence for the operations team. The work provides clients with documented information about claimants’ activities and supports investigation of insurance claims.

What you'll do

• Conduct covert, stationary, and mobile surveillance
• record subject activity on video
• conduct alive-and-well checks, locates, basic scene investigations, paint sample analysis, and EDR and RCS deployments or retrievals
• prepare written reports
• and upload video evidence and reports. Travel throughout the home state and surrounding states. A valid driver’s license, reliable surveillance vehicle, and ability to meet private investigator licensing requirements in multiple states are required.

Why this role
