The Cook role is onsite in Tama, IA. Pay is $16 per hour, with shift differentials of $0.50 per hour for hours worked 4 p.m.–midnight and $1.00 per hour for hours worked midnight–8 a.m. The cook prepares food for Lucky’s, the Buffet, and the Employee Dining Room at Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel. The cook prepares and presents food to established quality standards, maintains food safety and kitchen records, and supports orderly kitchen operations. The role contributes to guest satisfaction and effective service across the casino’s food operations.

What you'll do

• Prepare and present food orders for Lucky’s, the Buffet, and Employee Dining Room
• clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment
• complete production sheets and temperature logs
• follow food safety policies
• report product shortages
• prepare items for the next shift
• label and date products
• document waste and product transfers
• maintain coolers and freezers
• communicate with staff and other departments.
