Scrap Cutter — Mill Services

Job overview

The Scrap Cutter role is onsite in Wilton, IA. Compensation is $21 per hour. Phoenix Global provides mill services, including slag processing, scrap-yard operations, transportation, packaging, and production support. The cutter supports site operations by moving and processing scrap materials with heavy equipment and torches. The role also includes equipment inspection and maintenance, safe work practices, and compliance with applicable environmental and company safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Operate front loaders and excavators to position and move materials
• load, extract, and transport steel scrap
• use hand and track torches to cut scrap and ingots
• regulate natural gas and oxygen
• operate a burning station
• inspect and clean equipment and report defects
• follow safety and environmental regulations
• maintain required OSHA and company safety certifications.
