Assistant Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Assistant Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Plano, TX, with pay of $30–$32 per hour. The Tipton Group’s maintenance team helps keep its apartment community in good condition and residents’ homes comfortable. This role supports daily property operations by completing repairs, preventive maintenance, apartment make-ready work, grounds upkeep, and resident service requests. The technician also assists the Lead Maintenance Technician and participates in the after-hours on-call rotation.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily maintenance requests and repairs
• troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance issues
• prepare vacant apartments
• perform preventive maintenance
• maintain grounds
• respond to resident requests
• assist with inspections and projects
• participate in the after-hours on-call rotation
• follow safety procedures.
