The Medical Technician role is onsite in Cypress, Texas, and is part-time. The listed pay is $17–$19 per hour. The position supports GAIA Urgent Care & Wellness, which provides urgent care, telehealth, diagnostic testing, laboratory services, holistic health, and individualized wellness programs. The technician supports patient care and clinic operations through clinical procedures, testing, documentation, and front-office tasks. The role helps maintain patient flow and a welcoming experience while assisting providers and team members in a fast-paced clinical setting.

What you'll do

• Room patients and record vital signs, histories, medication lists, and chief complaints
• perform venipuncture, blood collection, and peripheral IV starts
• assist with IV therapies, minor procedures, wound care, and incision and drainage
• prepare specimens and conduct point-of-care tests and EKGs
• administer medications or injections as trained and permitted
• maintain clinical areas and follow infection-control, OSHA, HIPAA, and patient-safety standards
• document in the EHR
• greet patients, manage check-in and check-out, verify insurance, collect payments, schedule appointments, route calls, and support patient flow.
