Job overview

The Purchasing Agent role is onsite in Auburn Hills, MI. Pay is $30–$36 per hour. United CNC Machining manufactures precision, mission-critical components for aerospace and defense customers. The agent manages purchases from requisition through receipt to keep production on schedule, control costs, and meet quality, export-control, and customer requirements. Supplier coordination and traceable purchasing records help protect production continuity and product compliance.

What you'll do

• Quote and source raw materials, outside processing, and MRO supplies
• issue purchase orders with correct specifications and quality clauses
• track and expedite orders
• coordinate outside processing and part shipments
• maintain the Approved Supplier List with Quality
• monitor supplier delivery and quality
• negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms
• review certifications and maintain lot traceability
• handle controlled technical data under export-control procedures
• resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies.

Why this role

Requires at least three years of manufacturing purchasing experience, including raw material, tooling, or outside processing for machined parts. U.S. Person status is required to obtain and maintain ITAR compliance.
