The Cook role is onsite in Southport, NC, for a morning position. Compensation is $12–$18 per hour. The Landings of Oak Island’s culinary team prepares nutritious, high-quality meals for residents. The cook prepares meals according to menus, dietary requirements, and resident preferences, while supporting timely meal service, safe food handling, kitchen sanitation, inventory tracking, and smooth coordination with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to menu plans, dietary requirements, and resident preferences
• serve meals on time and maintain quality, portion control, and presentation
• maintain a clean, organized, sanitary kitchen
• store and handle food supplies properly
• collaborate with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff
• assist with training new kitchen staff as needed
• track inventory and report shortages or order needs
• accommodate special dietary requests and food preferences
• follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
