The Lead Medical Laboratory Technologist role is onsite in Houston, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Medical Clinic of Houston’s laboratory department and its work providing test data for physicians’ diagnosis and treatment of disease. The technologist performs laboratory testing while providing technical guidance and, when the Laboratory Supervisor is absent, supervising daily lab activities. The role also supports quality programs, equipment readiness, staff training, and reliable laboratory procedures.

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership and back up lab team members
• perform waived, moderately complex, and highly complex tests
• use the Laboratory Information System to manage orders and results
• maintain test, quality-control, calibration, and maintenance records
• set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment
• prepare testing reagents
• train staff and students
• assist with procedural problem-solving and quality programs
• monitor supplies and compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory requirements.
