HVAC Chiller Service Technician

Job overview

The HVAC Chiller Service Technician role is onsite in Chantilly, VA, with field work at multiple customer sites. Compensation is not specified. The technician reports to the Area Service Manager and supports Texas AirSystems’ chiller and HVAC maintenance business. The role exists to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair chillers and related mechanical systems so customers’ equipment can operate as intended. It also contributes to service delivery through customer coordination, documentation, and support for training materials and tools.

What you'll do

• Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on chillers and related mechanical systems
• diagnose electronic, mechanical, and electrical defects
• obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer recommendations, and explain issues and corrective needs to customers
• oversee installation and operation of mechanical systems
• help define and develop training, materials, and tools for the chiller/HVAC maintenance business
• maintain vehicle, parts, tools, safety equipment, and service documentation
• coordinate service with customers and communicate progress to dispatch, procurement, supervisors, and managers
• be available some nights or weekends on a rotating basis for emergency customer needs.
