Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Ocracoke, NC, with starting pay of $19–$21 per hour based on experience. This role supports providers and patient visits by preparing patients, assisting with examinations and routine clinical tasks, documenting care, and helping maintain efficient clinic flow.

What you'll do

• Room patients and prepare them for visits
• obtain and document medical histories, medications, and vital signs
• assist providers with examinations and minor in-office procedures
• collect specimens and perform routine screenings and clinical tests
• document patient care in Athena EMR
• support clinic flow
• communicate with patients, families, providers, and care-team members.
