Water Mitigation Technician

Job overview

The Water Mitigation Technician role is onsite in Oak Harbor, WA. Compensation is $23–$27 per hour. Restoration 1 of Oak Harbor serves homeowners and businesses with water damage restoration and mitigation. The technician responds to water damage, assesses affected sites, removes water, and monitors drying so properties can be restored toward their pre-loss condition. The role also involves communicating with customers and insurance adjusters and following safety and industry standards.

What you'll do

• Respond to water damage calls and assess sites
• extract standing water and set up air movers and dehumidifiers
• monitor and document drying with moisture meters and thermal imaging
• remove damaged materials as needed
• communicate with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters
• maintain equipment and vehicles
• follow IICRC standards and safety protocols.
