What you'll do

• Greet and escort guests, present menus, and introduce servers
• seat guests in the bar or dining area according to preference
• communicate promotions and wait times
• answer restaurant calls
• manage guest flow and special requests
• monitor guest needs
• follow sanitation, safety, and alcohol-control policies
• assist with table setup, clearing, water, and beverages
• schedule reservations and arrange parties
• address complaints
• coordinate dining-room personnel
• maintain the entrance and host stand.
