The Employee Health Medical Assistant (Per Diem, Days) role is onsite in Porterville, CA. The medical assistant provides front-office and clerical support while also performing assigned back-office and patient-care tasks within scope. The role helps maintain employee health records, support onboarding and injury-prevention initiatives, and collect information used for regulatory compliance and reporting.

What you'll do

• Assist with pre-employment physicals and onboarding
• prepare new-hire packets and enter data into the Employee Health database
• maintain files and records required by OSHA, Title 22, hospital policy, and other agencies
• assist with infectious disease outbreak reporting
• compile records and reports
• support employee health and safe patient handling initiatives
• collect performance-improvement and ergonomic data
• prepare exam rooms, perform point-of-care testing, and collect lab specimens as directed
• maintain supply inventory and a safe, clean work area.

Why this role

Requires at least two years of medical assistant experience and a back-office Medical Assistant completion certificate. Employee or occupational health experience is preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required or must be obtained during orientation before hands-on patient care.
