What you'll do

• Calculate material take-offs from drawings
• cut and bevel pipe
• coordinate materials and equipment
• align and mark parts
• direct welders on fit-up needs
• straighten and finish components
• read blueprints and ISOs
• assemble pipes, tubes, and fittings
• label and track cut pieces
• inspect and test installed systems
• plan pipe layouts
• install or demolish handrails and grating
• verify measurements
• inspect tools and equipment
• maintain a safe work area
• complete job safety and environmental analyses.
