Network Switch Installation Technician

Job overview

The Network Switch Installation Technician role is onsite in Bronson, MI, with pay of $30–$40 per hour. Compensation is $30–$40 per hour. The technician supports Nesco Data Center’s onsite network installation work alongside remote network engineers. The role exists to install and connect a Netgear GS724TP 24-port switch accurately, verify basic connectivity, and provide remote engineers with onsite assistance for configuration and testing. It also supports reliable handoff through cabling organization, documentation, and status updates.

What you'll do

• Install and physically mount or place the Netgear GS724TP 24-port switch
• connect network, uplink, power, and patch cables according to instructions
• label and organize cabling and verify port connections
• connect a laptop and console cable to assist remote engineers with configuration and testing
• verify connectivity and link lights and troubleshoot simple physical-layer issues
• communicate status and document completed work and issues
• follow onsite safety, security, and customer access procedures.
