The Early Childhood Teacher — 2K Classroom role is onsite in Summerville, SC. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with an eight-hour day shift and no nights or weekends. Pay is $15–$17 per hour. Palmetto Learning Academy uses a child-centered, play-based approach alongside developmentally appropriate academics. The teacher plans and adapts learning activities, supports children’s development and self-esteem, and maintains a safe, structured classroom. Teachers may float among classrooms, supervise children during routines and play, communicate with families, and follow academy and state compliance standards.

What you'll do

• Develop lesson plans around monthly themes, values, and goals
• support play-based learning and classroom schedules
• observe children’s learning and development
• encourage appropriate peer interaction under the academy’s discipline policy
• supervise children during nap, snack, and activities
• follow DSS regulations and academy standards
• use Brightwheel to track students, message parents, upload photos, and log feeds
• maintain a clean classroom and communicate professionally with teammates.
