Fire/EMT Cadet – Earn to Learn Program is an onsite role based in Peach Springs, AZ, with assignments at fire department and training sites. Pay is $14.70 per hour. The Hualapai Fire and EMS program provides a training and mentorship pathway toward a career in fire and emergency medical services in the Hualapai community and beyond. The cadet participates in academic, physical, and operational training while assisting with emergency responses and firehouse duties in a learning capacity. The program builds the education, certifications, and practical experience needed to prepare for future Firefighter/EMT duties; completion does not guarantee a full-time firefighter position.

What you'll do

• Participate in academic and physical training
• attend classroom instruction and clinical medical endorsements
• assist on medical, public-assist, and fire calls in a learning capacity
• maintain departmental equipment, buildings, and grounds
• perform administrative and clerical tasks, answer and direct calls, and complete housekeeping
• assist with safety education, community and recruitment events, and special projects
• complete required coursework and certifications.
