The role works alongside wound care physicians and nurse practitioners during facility rounds. The position supports wound care visits by helping prepare patients and facilities for evaluations, assisting with care tasks, and documenting information dictated by the physician. This assistance helps clinicians conduct efficient bedside rounds and deliver wound care treatment in skilled nursing facilities.

What you'll do

• Assist the wound physician during bedside rounds as needed
• coordinate with skilled nursing facility staff and help ensure patients are ready for consults
• assist the wound care nurse with patient preparation, positioning, dressing application, incontinence care, and skin exams as needed
• take dictated notes on wound measurements, locations, and treatment plans
• assist with telemedicine visits and written consent when required.
