Personal Care Assistant

The Personal Care Assistant role is onsite in Schenectady, NY, with pay of $14–$16 per hour. Southern Hearts Homecare of Georgia provides in-home support to help clients maintain comfort, safety, and independence. The assistant supports clients with daily living and personal care while following each client’s plan of care. Companionship, household assistance, observation, and timely documentation contribute to clients’ well-being and continuity of support.

What you'll do

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene
• provide medication reminders
• prepare meals
• perform light housekeeping
• assist with shopping, errands, mobility, and transfers when required
• provide companionship and emotional support
• follow care plans and task sheets
• observe and report changes in condition or behavior
• document services
• respond responsibly during emergencies
• protect privacy and dignity.
