Group Facilitator – Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)

The Group Facilitator – Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) role is an onsite position in Danville, VA, paying $28–$30 per hour. Epic Health Partners’ ARTS program provides substance use treatment services using person-centered, trauma-informed, and evidence-based practices. The facilitator leads structured group education, relapse-prevention support, and therapeutic interventions to help participants identify goals and apply recovery skills. The role also supports safe, engaged groups and continuity of care through coordination with clinical supervisors, case managers, and other team members.

What you'll do

• Facilitate psychoeducational, skills-building, and therapeutic groups in accordance with ASAM and program requirements
• support participants in identifying goals and applying recovery skills
• maintain group structure, safety, and engagement
• monitor participation and communicate concerns
• collaborate with clinical supervisors, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members
• complete group notes and attendance documentation
• provide crisis support and service coordination as needed
• participate in meetings, supervision, and professional development.
