What you'll do

• Supervise, mentor, evaluate, hire, train, and schedule shop personnel
• assign work and monitor repair progress
• review repair orders and documentation
• conduct quality-control audits of inspections and repairs
• report out-of-service equipment
• monitor technician efficiency
• manage parts and supply inventory
• enforce safety policies and applicable OSHA and DOT requirements
• communicate shop performance and operational issues to management
• respond to driver concerns.
