What you'll do

• Deliver professional nursing care to all patients in NICU.
• Perform assessment and acuity assignment.
• Follow standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care.
• Supervise other nursing personnel and/or students.
• Function as a preceptor and ability to function as a charge nurse.
• Perform all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition of patient.
• Operate and set up devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration, aerosol generators, and disposable respiratory care products.
• Provide emergency care, including artificial ventilation, external cardiac massage, and assist staff with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Collect and analyze arterial blood gases.
