Thrift Associate

The Thrift Associate role is onsite in Leesburg, VA, with compensation of $16.01–$19 per hour. Blue Ridge Care works to improve quality of life and well-being for community members affected by aging or serious or chronic illness; the thrift shop supports the organization’s mission and services. The associate manages daily shop operations, including sales-floor merchandising, donation processing, customer service, and accurate sales and donation records. The role also supports volunteers and helps keep the shop and related spaces clean and safe.

What you'll do

• Price, stock, and merchandise items
• open and close the shop and support its regular operations
• work with volunteers
• maintain accurate sales and donation receipts
• complete daily deposits
• greet and thank customers
• help onboard volunteers on shop operations, office procedures, and safety
• maintain clean and safe shop, office, and bathroom areas
• assist with inventory ordering as needed.

Why this role
