What you'll do

• Assess and interpret patient data based on patient status and age-specific needs
• analyze records to determine the legitimacy of admission, treatment, and length of stay
• review precertification requests for medical necessity
• refer cases requiring additional expertise to the medical director
• conduct concurrent reviews and extend length of stay when appropriate
• consult and refer to case management and social services personnel.
