Janitorial Crew Chief

The Janitorial Crew Chief role is onsite in Peoria, IL. Pay is $15.50 per hour. Community Workshop & Training provides programs and services to adults with disabilities, with a mission to enrich quality of life, promote social change, and support independence. The crew chief assists consumers in completing cleaning contracts safely and properly. The role supports contract quality and consumer development by providing instruction, ensuring supplies and equipment are ready, completing required paperwork, and encouraging consumers to work to their highest capacity.

What you'll do

• Instruct consumers in safe and proper cleaning and maintenance
• complete consumer paperwork by 11:00 a.m. and outside contract payroll paperwork
• ensure equipment is operable and supplies are available
• clean designated areas according to contracts or supervisor instructions
• provide coverage for outside and NISH contracts during vacations and absences
• manage weekly supply and condiment inventory
• complete material requisitions and related paperwork
• conduct monthly eyewash station inspections and cleaning and biannual draining and filling
• complete daily checklists when required
• report concerns to a supervisor
• encourage consumers to work to their highest capacity
• coordinate multiple assignments
• follow safety policies and report hazards or accidents.
