The Polymer Control Room & Field Operator role is onsite at The LYCRA Company’s manufacturing plant in Waynesboro, VA, with pay of $29.78–$32.52 per hour. The company supplies differentiated fiber products from a global manufacturing base; this position reports to the Polymer Operations Group Leader. The operator runs production lines from a control room and in the field, adjusting process conditions and equipment to support safe, compliant, and consistent product output. The role also prepares batches, monitors product sampling and release, troubleshoots equipment, and completes safety-related work.

What you'll do

• Operate multiple production lines from a control room using a DCS
• adjust rates and modes, operate remote equipment, trend process conditions, and make corrections
• prepare product batches using specified recipes
• operate valves and pumps
• troubleshoot equipment and complete field rounds
• oversee sampling and continuous product release
• complete lockout/tagout and safe work permit writing.
