The Sales Associate / Material Handler — Retail role is onsite in Redondo Beach, CA, and is part-time. Pay is $16.90 per hour. The Salvation Army’s retail team serves the local community through a thrift store that supports its Adult Rehabilitation Program. The role supports store operations and the donor and customer experience by assisting shoppers, processing and organizing merchandise and donations, and maintaining a clean, safe sales and donation area. It also helps ensure incoming goods are inspected, stocked, and handled according to store procedures.

What you'll do

• Greet and assist customers and donors promptly and courteously
• stock priced merchandise on the sales floor
• maintain the store and donation area
• follow point-of-sale and cash-register policies
• meet safety and compliance standards
• attend required monthly store meetings
• receive, unload, and stock inventory
• inspect products for defects or damage
• help donors remove donated items from vehicles and provide receipts
• sort and stack donated materials as instructed
• perform other assigned duties.
